Mission
Our Commitment to Readers
N. E. Kurz is an author devoted to supporting both bereaved parents and others through the lens of personal experience, faith, and compassionate insight.
In 1982, her 15-year-old daughter, Karen, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident after being struck by a truck. The loss was devastating, leaving Norma overwhelmed with grief, disbelief, and deep emotional pain. But then, in 2025, her 60-year-old son, David, died after suffering a probable heart attack. Again, her heart was ravaged. As she reflects, life is not meant to unfold this way as parents are not meant to outlive their children.
Through years of navigating the grieving process, Norma gradually found strength, healing, and renewed purpose. Out of that journey, she felt called to reach out to others facing similar loss. Her books served as a source of comfort and guidance for grieving families, offering encouragement through patience, prayer, and the support of loved ones. But now her most recent books, all published in 2025, are designed to help those suffering from any kind of trauma. Encouragement and healing words are provided through her revised and updated books to assist all who are looking for recovery from any kind of emotional and physical trauma. But, most importantly, help is provided for all those seeking answers to questions about life, God, and ultimate reality.
Norma’s 2025 books speak to those searching for answers in the times in which we live. First, in her new book of fiction, A Parallel Time & Place, American Watchwoman Saphah travels back in time to biblical Judah during the reign of King Josiah, where she discovers events in those ancient times are eerily similar to current events in her own modern land. Soon she realizes that Judah is a parallel time and place to the U. S., and that she can learn spiritual lessons about her current world through a journey into that alternate reality. Urgently, she must warn her people to return to God before it’s too late. However, Norma’s new nonfiction “Window of Opportunity Trilogy” is composed of revised and updated books on finding faith and keeping it.
In addition to her books, Norma has contributed to an anthology and has written articles featured in journals and magazines. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from American Christian College in Oklahoma City. Norma lives in Southwest Missouri with her husband, John, and their beloved dog, Harlequin.
