A Parallel Time & Place
What if it were possible to visit an ancient Biblical land and to experience what life was like? In A Parallel Time & Place: A Story of a Modern Nation Running in Sync with a Biblical Land in an Alternate Reality, an American lady, Saphah, travels back in time to Judah during the reign of reforming King Josiah.
There she discovers that spiritual events in that ancient time and place are eerily similar to current happenings in her own modern land. In fact, the moral descent of Judah runs in sync with the moral deterioration of the United States, and the corruption of Judah's capitol, Jerusalem, runs parallel with that of the US capitol.
Although Judah is under pending judgment from God, King Josiah has arrived to bring temporary reform and reprieve to his nation as foretold in scripture. But then, the Lord reveals to Saphah that the United States likewise faces upcoming judgment and discipline, unless reform and reprieve occur in America too.
Can Saphah warn her people of coming danger before it's too late? Will they listen and heed the spiritual lessons she learned during her journey into that alternate reality? Will they prepare themselves, both personally and collectively, to deal with what God has in store for them? And will they listen to God's message for Judah and America, as Prophet Zephaniah proclaimed:
“Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land. . . .Seek righteousness, seek humility, perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord's anger.” —Zephaniah 2:3.

A Personal Grief
Even those with deep religious roots may suddenly question what once felt certain. Agnostics, too, may find themselves confronting doubt with new urgency.
In A Personal Grief, N. E. Kurz turns to this experience of sorrow as a call to deeper reflection. Drawing from the loss of her daughter, Karen, Kurz shares how personal tragedy awakened her need to search for objective truth. Miraculously, that search led her to answers, to faith, and to a calling to write. Through this book, she seeks to help others move through both the temporal and spiritual dimensions of healing.
Part One tells the story of Karen’s death and Kurz’s own awakening to faith. Part Two offers practical guidance for those facing denial, emotional pain, depression, panic, guilt, anger, health issues, and life changes. It also addresses the spiritual challenges that often accompany grief, barriers to faith, the struggle to believe, and the need for honest questioning in a culture that often discourages it.

A Reasonable Faith
Do you have questions about God and ultimate reality? Have you ever wondered about origins, values, and destiny? You’re not alone. Millions of people in our generation face genuine difficulties regarding questions of life and faith, such as: Why is there suffering? Is God really “there”? How do I cope with death?
Although many people struggle with tough questions such as these, most Christians downplay the importance of philosophical questioning. Thus, seekers of truth are often reluctant to ask the awesome questions lurking just beneath the surface. Understanding firsthand the current de-emphasis on religious questioning, N. E. Kurz has written A Reasonable Faith: Finding Faith Through Rational Evidence, to call attention to the seriousness of the situation and provide a context for asking and answering important questions.
In A Reasonable Faith, she not only highlights the fact that an objective approach to the spreading of the gospel is desperately needed today, but also provides insights and answers to such questions as:
-
Why do we need to reason our faith?
-
Is it wrong to doubt or question?
-
Is it enough to just believe?
-
Is Christianity just a psychological crutch?
-
Are all religions true?
-
Does the Bible conflict with science?
-
Was Jesus really God?
-
Is the Bible truly God's word?
-
What is God like?
-
Why do some professed believers fall astray?

A Perilous Time
It began on April 19, 1995, when a terrorist bomb ripped through the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing 169 people. Then, on September 11, 2001, the world watched in horror as four hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field near Pittsburgh, claiming thousands of lives. If such senseless tragedies could happen in America the world’s superpower then the basic assumptions of security, morality, and reason felt suddenly fragile. Is it any wonder so many asked, “What is this world coming to?”
And today, the questions have only grown louder. Over the past three decades, America has strayed from the principles that once made it strong. Our nation has shifted from a largely religious culture to a secular one, where “woke” ideologies–diversity, gender, social justice, and free speech debates have been used to deny God’s decrees and unravel the moral fabric of society.
Where was God in all of this?
God recognized what was happening and took control by raising up a reformer, protecting him from harm, and allowing Donald J. Trump to be elected–a leader chosen to help restore the nation’s temporal and spiritual foundations.

The Grieving Parent's Book of Hope
A book about one woman's loss and her grieving experience, we are exposed not only to the author's feelings about the death of her daughter, but to the ways of coping that she utilized to carry her through the threshold of her sorrow.
In the introduction of this story of trauma and love, the author relates the horror of her daughter's death. The book is then divided into ten chapters related to surviving various life issues related to death, such as denial and shock, depression, guilt, anger, and suffering. It offers numerous ways to cope with life changes, ways of engaging in meaningful activities, and affirming reality.
It offers resources for support through websites and a bibliography that further provides valuable information. It is also written towards those of Christian belief.

50 Ways to Cope With the Loss of Your Child
This author has written a guide for grieving parents from a position of personal experience.
Her 50 Ways to Cope, contained in 10 chapters, takes the experience from shock and denial to affirming reality. Kurz brings out an interesting point which I can relate to as a mother who has lived through and survived the same experience.
After living through the worse ordeal a parent can experience, there sometimes evolves a sense of empowerment. She uses a quote from Harriet Schiff (The Bereaved Parent), which adequately expresses this idea: 'The fear of the unknown is behind us, for most of us, because we have already taken a long look at hell.' I highly recommend 50 Ways to Cope to parents who have suffered the death of a child. May it help to bring you the serenity to accept that which you cannot change."

Spiritual Answers for Perilous Times
After events like those that occurred in New York City on September 11, 2001, it seems that many Americans are more frequently posing religious questions.
Is there a God? What kind? Is God good? Does God care about us?
Norma Sawyers [Kurz] has posed and addressed some of these most asked dilemmas. No stranger to troubles, especially after suffering through the death of her 15-year-old daughter in a tragic crash, Norma learned that there is a way out of even the worst difficulties that life can pose. In a popular and thoughtful manner, she shares some of the answers that she found during her own struggles and since."

A Personal Grief & ; A Reasonable Faith
Have you ever had questions about ultimate reality? Have you ever wondered about origins, values, and destiny? If you have, you're not alone.
Millions of people in our generation face genuine difficulties regarding questions of life and faith, such as: Why is there suffering? Is God really "there"? How do I cope with death? Understanding firsthand the current de-emphasis on religious questioning in some churches, Norma has written this book. First, in A Personal Grief, she shares her own intensely personal journey to a knowledge of God.
Then, in A Reasonable Faith, she calls attention to the fact that an objective approach to the spreading of the gospel is desperately needed today and also provides some insights to current questions.
